The experience of children ages birth to 18 years7 affected by natural disasters and sheds light on the progress that has been made over the last decade to improve and advance the preparedness, response, short- and long-term recovery for these children, their families and the institutions and human services that serve them.
Discusses identified gaps and opportunities for continued strengthening of child-serving systems in the community.
Implications for policy, funding, and research. While we highlight best practices and promising
strategies, we recognize that this is only a window into the work that is being done across the country.
