HHS Roadmap for Behavioral Health Integration

HHS has identified opportunities to expand access to behavioral health by integrating behavioral health into primary care settings. This will increase access to care by encouraging and reimbursing primary care providers for providing behavioral health care to both adult and pediatric populations. This can also help overcome the stigma associated with receiving behavioral health services in certain communities. Examples include: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ)(including ambulatory car settings)
