List of Medicaid/CHIP terms, may be helpful for individuals searching for services/programs. “Blind” mentioned twice:
“Non-MAGI
Non-MAGI Medicaid offers comprehensive health insurance for low-income State residents. Most people who qualify for non-MAGI Medicaid are individuals who are over 65, disabled, or blind.”
“Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
A benefit paid by Social Security to people with limited income and
resources who are disabled, blind, or age 65 or older. SSI benefits aren’t
the same as Social Security retirement or disability benefits.”
